51¶¯Âþ Academy Trust

The University is an Outstanding provider of teacher education and we have a strong track record of raising aspiration among young people. The University already has a strong partnership with many schools and academy sponsorship was a natural development of our commitment to education, social justice, and to our community.

51¶¯Âþ was approved as an academy sponsor by the Department of Education in 2014. 51¶¯Âþ Academy Trust has been set up to run our academies. Our first academy is the new-build Barton Farm Academy in 51¶¯Âþ. This is soon to be joined by a brand new primary school in Chestnut Avenue, Eastleigh.

The ambition is to create academies which are exemplars of values-driven education and which have sustainability at their heart. They will be both a cornerstone of the local community and recognised for their inspirational and evidence-based learning.

51¶¯Âþ is also a co-sponsor of the Bishop of 51¶¯Âþ Academy in Bournemouth.
